The Kirigami Project - Week 35 - Starfruit
This week's design reminds me quite a bit of the cross-section of a starfruit or carambola. Have you ever eaten a starfruit? Elias is a fan but I've always thought they fell into the category of fruit which looks better than it tastes. Kinda like dragon fruit. Better as a garnish than as a snack!
To create your own Starfruit kirigami design, use the template below and the 5-Point Folding Pattern.
This is our second fruit-inspired design. First there were pineapples. Any other fruits you'd like to see transformed into kirigami designs? I think pears might be cute!
The Kirigami Project is collaborative creative project from Marisa Edghill of Omiyage and Geri Jewitt of The Languid Lion. Marisa creates the kirigami designs and Geri turns them into printable templates. Each week in 2014, we will bring you a new kirigami design to fold and cut. Find the treasury of designs here.
